1940 — O.K. Mattress Factory
Our manufacturing heritage begins in 1940 with the founding of O.K. Mattress Factory in Springfield, Missouri.
From the beginning, the company focused on a straightforward idea: build quality mattresses locally and provide customers with products they could depend on.
It was the beginning of a mattress-making tradition that would continue for generations.
Generations of Growth — McKinney Bedding Company
Over the decades, O.K. Mattress Factory evolved into McKinney Bedding Company.
Through changing products, technologies, and generations of customers, McKinney built a reputation for quality, value, and dependable service throughout the region.
The name changed. The industry changed. But the commitment to building a better mattress endured.
2018 — A New Chapter
In 2018, Croft Bedding Company began manufacturing mattresses in Southwest Missouri.
With a focus on independent retailers, flexible manufacturing, innovative products, and personal service, Croft Bedding quickly expanded beyond its original roots.
The company grew by doing things a little differently—listening to its retail partners, responding quickly to their needs, and never losing sight of the importance of the relationships behind the business.
2020 — Foreverbed
As Croft Bedding grew, so did Foreverbed.
Originally developed as a private label mattress brand, Foreverbed expanded into an independent dealer network and evolved into a premium brand centered around handcrafted construction, innovative materials, and mattresses designed to provide exceptional comfort and be the last mattress you will ever buy.
2025 — Stronger Together
In 2025, Croft Bedding and McKinney Bedding came together.
The combination united McKinney's generations of mattress-making heritage with Croft Bedding's growing dealer network, manufacturing capabilities, and entrepreneurial approach to the industry.
It wasn't simply about bringing two companies together.
It was an opportunity to preserve what had been built over generations while creating something stronger for the future.
Today — Ozark Bedding Company
Today, that combined organization is Ozark Bedding Company.
From our factory in Webb City, Missouri, we manufacture mattresses across a family of distinct brands, including Foreverbed, McKinney Bedding, Vintage Sleep, LIVWELL, Luna & Sol, and Odyssey Truck Mattress, along with private-label programs for retail partners.
Each brand serves a different customer and a different part of the market, but they're all supported by the same manufacturing team and the same commitment to quality.
